use something with an orange-y tint to it. opposite colors cancel eachother out, it wouldn't turn your hair like an amazing color by any means but it'd make it neutral so you could dye over it.

i used to dye my hair blue, it always faded and turned this awful color..

the easiest way is of course to just dye it a dark color.

but you can always bleach it out and start from scratch.
