I'm dying my hair black. if i use blue or green dye on top of that will it at least give it ali

i know that they would show up better with a bleach kit but i just wanna know if it would still tint it some with the blue or the green on top of the black

yes, you should be able to see a hint of blue or green. Possibly only in sunlight thou

umm it would just show up as a light blue/green. I'd go for more red or blonde highlight but thats just me. good luck

you can actually buy black hair dye with a blue tint... do it all in one step :) i think the green over it would look kinda gross.. go with blue :)

Depends what you are using, If it is not permanent then definitely not.

It probably is not worth the effort or the cost to put a dye over black hair dye. Most black shades have a base of blue and green in order to be really dark and in the sun will look blue.

I once used a L'Oreal Feria at-home hair color kit to dye my hair black. The color was called "Starry Night," and it was considered to be blue-black. I could definitely tell that my hair had a bluish tint, especially in the sunlight. I don't know about green, but blue black is great hair color that isn't too extreme.

Please be careful when dying your hair black at home ... since black is the darkest color, there's no way to fix it if you mess up. You can only go backwards, which means you'll have to bleach your hair. :(
