I'm dying my hair black with blue streaks. any suggestions as to how?

i was thinking that i would bleach, and foil the streaks, and then i'd dye what's not in foil in black. after the hour's up for the bleach, i'll just shampoo it all out.

anyone got any better ideas?

Honey, if you leave bleach on your hair for an hour, you are not going to have any hair left. There isn't exact timing for bleach, you just leave it on until you have reached the desired lightness.

If you rinse your black and bleach out at the same time, the bleached hair is going to pick up a tinge and look like a smokey grey. In the salon, I would do the color first, then bleach the hair after to reduce any "bleeding."

Also, if you want blue streaks, remember that blue and yellow make green, so you will have to lighten your hair past yellow to a very pale blonde (almost white) to get that vivid blue instead of a greenish blue.

You should die your hair black then get Blue hair extensions. Either the clip on ones if your on a budget or get them done in a salon. Its better because you dont have to worry about the bad effects.
