i think an amber color would look good. (brunette and red)

but if i had to choose between blonde and blue i would say blonde. i would laugh at a person with blue hair and think they were a freak. but have fun with it :)

I would go for the blue. If you are after the maximum amount of attention....and it seems that you are, you want people to look at you. If you want people to point and stare and comment on your hair, the blonde won't do it. You want a color that really says "Hey I am a non-conformist"

wild change huh? well definately blue is much more wild.... but my opinion is that you should dye it blonde because if you do blue it would definately attract lots of attention to you, but that cant always be good..... but wild= blue more suddel but very pretty=blonde

Depending on how dark your brunette hair is, attempting to go blonde could result in orange. I think I would settle for some TEMPORARY sprayed in blue streaks. Bear in mind also, that with summer approaching, swimming in chlorinated water could change dyed blonde to ghastly green.

Go with blond.

If you go blond (especially a light blond), you can always use a temporary hair color and achieve a very high contrast of whatever color you want. Blond gives you the option to use temporary dyes to have any color in the hair spectrum (natural or unnatural).

If you go straight to blue and decide you don't like it, you'll have a hard time getting the blue out to go somewhere else.

Depending on your haircolor, temporary hair dyes might not react the way you expect. That's why I say go Blond first; from there you can branch out to any color you wish.

(Notice to readers: my hair is a natural brown. And it's always been that way. This is just the advice I got whence I looked up this question on the Internet a while back for a costume idea.)

A wild change? Nice one. :D but I think blond with blue highlights are better. Some stuff to note:

--If you skin colour is very fair and light coloured, I suggest you don't choose blonde shades like white blonde or any other light-coloured blonde colours. Think of it this way, its SUMMER, not halloween yet. You won't really want to look like a pale ghost or anything. :D

--It mostly depends on your skin colour and the colour you want to dye your hair in.. no matter how wild a change you want it to be, I think it's safer to choose colours that would complement each other. You won't want a situation where you love your hair one day and you just hate it the next day. I heard that you should wait a week or so before you dye or highlight your hair again to avoid damage to your hair roots.

--Temporary highlights are more convenient to change the way you look, like frequently. For example, my friend highlighted her hair with different colours every week of the holidays.[NOT like, rainbow colours in her hair. I mean like 1st week, red. 2nd week, green....] I think you could try doing the same 'cause its interesting and fun to experiment which colour highlight you like best and suits you.

--Chlorinated water makes dyed hair look funny. You could ask the hair stylist to give you tips on how to mantain the desired colour you want.

In my opinion, it's your hair, your choice. Personally, I would prefer blond with blue highlights. If I chose BLUE, it would stick out like...you get the idea.
